  NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERS OF THE MONROE COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIREMEN’S ASSOCIATION

  Pursuant to the order of the Board of Directors of the Monroe County Volunteer Firemen’s Association (MCVFA or Corporation), the NPCL and the By-Laws of the Monroe County Volunteer Firemen’s Association, the Annual Meeting of members of the Corporation will commence on October 30, 2024, starting at 7:00 pm. The Annual Meeting will be held at the Rush Fire Department, 1971 Rush Mendon Road, Rush, NY 14543. The purpose of the meeting is to consider and act on the matters of the election of MCVFA President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and two (2) MCVFA Directors (two year term), the approval or rejection of the annual budget of the MCVFA and the transaction of such business as may be properly brought before the meeting.  

  Regular members in good standing, with full dues paid prior to the Annual Meeting, are eligible to vote.

  Here is the next part of the saga concerning the Emergency Rule that is being proposed by OSHA, regarding the fire service. On July 22, 2024 the written comment period ended. As part of this ordeal, OSHA did cave in and is giving everyone the opportunity to participate in an informal public hearing. This hearing will be virtual. Depending on the number of speakers, this hearing may go on for a couple of days or however long it takes to complete, It is open to everyone, but if you wish to speak at the hearing, you need to pre-register.
